Diamond Lake School District 76 celebrated an exciting milestone with the official groundbreaking of the new D76 Community Center! DLS students, staff, local leaders, and community members came together for this special event, with students putting on their D76 hard hats and digging the first ceremonial shovels of dirt to officially kick off construction.
We extend a special thank you to State Rep. Dan Didech, a huge advocate for our community who championed this project by supporting us in securing crucial funding sources to bring it to life.
The new D76 Community Center represents another important investment in our students, families, and the greater Diamond Lake School District 76 community. This groundbreaking was a true PEAK moment for our students as they played a hands-on role in marking the beginning of a vibrant new chapter. Construction is expected to be completed by November 1, 2026, and we look forward to watching the center take shape in the months ahead.
